Face Sketches

This is one of the many works I did during my hated free time. While I'm still working on other works particularly some comic related stuff, there are times where I need to do something less... specific. So, here are some random face sketches. Again, I have no proper scanner at the moment and my camera isn't getting the best shots. But this works until then, right? Pwease...?

Enjoy!

Harry Potter Concept Art: The Tale of the Deathly Hallows: Ignotus Peveral

Hey folks. So sorry for taking so long on updating. Things have been nothing short of insane with one thing or another. The job search continues. I've got some new images to post however! yay!

No these images are the best scans, because my scanner konked out. Instead I have to take pictures with my camera and they just aren't that good. :*( I'll repost these when the scanner is working.

This is some early concept art of Ignotus from the Three Brothers story from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (FYI: I can't wait for the movie!!!) I opted to avoid the stereotypical robes of the HP books, and instead gave him a bit of a Dark Age's page-boy outfit. He's also sporting the famous invisibility cloak that eventually ends up in the hands of the series' title character.

Moving Time

No new art work at this time unfortunately. After the busyness of graduation, a post-graduation vacation, and job searching, I'm also currently in the middle of a move to a new apartment. Alas, this makes it hard to draw when all my supplies are packed for the move.

But once I'm settled in to the new place, expect some new and revised work!

And now for something completely different...

So, as I get closer to the big day of Graduation, I decided it was time to go through all of my old art work, and see what to keep and what to get rid of (I've got a small apartment. There is no way I can keep everything). As I went through things, I found some old works that I kinda felt happy with, and though, I dunno, what the heck? Post some of 'em.

So, here you go. A couple of my old art pieces from AAU.

Spring Show/Marvel Comics (The Art)

Okay gang, as promised I'm posting my pages for the Spring-Show and Marvel Comics. I hope you like. I did some minor edits before the official submission though, because I'm a perfectionist of sorts and thus re-posted the final work. :)

These are from the script for (New) Runaways #2.

Spring Show/Marvel Comics

Okay, so sometime back C.B. Cebulski, a writer/editor/talent-scout from Marvel Comics came to my school (Academy of Art University) to do portfolio reviews. I was amongst a handful of lucky-enough students who got to meet with him. He then gave me a card, and told me to get in contact with Marvel. I did, and they sent me some sample scripts to do 'audition' pages for them. My choices were "The Marvelous Land of Oz" or "(New) Runnaways #2"

I opted to do Runaways, cause it has a dinosaur in it! :D

Well, I finished those pages, but before I could submit them, I opted to show to them to my professors at the school. My professor, to my surprise, requested that I submit four of the pages to the school's annual Spring Show, along with some pages from "The Cry for Coyote" comic I did.

Both projects are to be shown in the Spring Show on May 27 through sometime in June.

I have to admit, I'm pretty excited. :) I'll be sure to post copies of my work soon.

Da Bears...

To make sure that I keep this website going, I should probably post something huh? Well, since I'm not ready to post the new stuff I'm working on, I thought I'd put up another page from "The Cry of Coyote". Behold! Spooky Bear!
